On the very last day of July, our Booth Butler, Bob O’Tron, found himself driving through the South Gloucestershire hills and countryside. He was hunting down the Bristol marquee wedding of Joely & Ross. He had studied the location beforehand on Google street view. Then just as the hill was starting to rise and he thought he was lost, he saw the signs on the roadside pointing to “Ross & Joely’s” wedding.
After rocking up outside the marquee Bob was greeted by a hustle of ushers. Once they realised it wasn’t a mammoth wedding gate crasher and that the photo booth had arrived, they showed him where it was to be set-up and offered to give him a hand unloading the equipment. Bob being the size he is wasn’t taking up their kind offer. As he walked away he heard them getting excited about the photo booth and the photographic mischief they were going to get up to.
The only thing we need for a marquee event is a normal household type plug socket and a reasonably flat floor. Joely & Ross had arranged this for us along with a table nearby to put props on and their guest book.
The guest book was a black, oversized scrapbook with black pages and a leather cover. Photos were going to be stuck into the book with paper glue. Also, there was a selection of silver and gold metallic pens for guests to write their messages alongside the pictures.
Before Bob had laid out the last few props there were already guests sitting inside the booth. It wasn’t a problem though as we always like to have the booth tested before it officially opens.
Before he knew it, Bob had Joely at the front of a queue that was beginning to form outside the booth. It might well have been 20-minutes before the official start time but these guys were ready to party. And boy oh boy did they party!
