Just two weeks ago, Alison called us from Itchenor Sailing Club about a party they were having there. Each year they hold a transit party for their younger members advancing from one level of sailing to another. 30th July 2016 was the date set in the diary. The organisers of the event wanted some form of entertainment in addition to the DJ. They were looking for something to encourage bonding between the younger members. It’s a known fact, that dressing up in boa feathers while wearing a pride cowboy hat and oversized glasses is one of the best team-building experiences available. And with this, Alison booked our Selfie Station.
Our Selfie Station works exactly the same as the traditional Funky Photo Booth. The key difference is that it’s not enclosed inside a booth. This makes it a great alternative to a traditional booth. However, it’s better suited to parties and events where guests are comfortable enough pulling their photo booth poses on full display of other guests.
The Selfie Station was set-up and ready to go 10-minutes after arriving at the venue. With the weather set to be warm and dry, the party was scheduled to take place on the lawn of Itchenor Sailing Club. The DJ was on a raised podium and pumping out some slow bassy beats that gently bounced across the river. At the other side of the dance floor (patio) was our Selfie Station glowing in the twilight with it’s familiar moustache logo. This Chichester Party Photo Booth was ready and open for action.
Shortly after guests had eaten, they flowed out of the club house and began partying under the stars. The whole scene could easily have been transferred next door to Ibiza’s Café del Mar.
Booth Butler for the evening was me, Rob. The Selfie Station is ready to go in just 10-minutes. This gave me lots of time to enjoy the foreshore at the club before opening the Selfie Station. Props were spread across 3-tables and just about every combination of them were used at some point. With 30-guests and 77-sessions of the Selfie Station, I think the only people not in a picture at some was myself and the DJ. Just over 200-prints were made on the night.
Congratulations Itchenor Sailing Club. It was a fabulous party and great to be a part of. Thank you for hiring our Chichester party photo booth and hopefully we’ll see you at your event next year.
