As a preferred supplier to Saints Events at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, we were recommended to Superyacht Charities Foundation. They were looking for a charity photo booth for their event. This is a registered foundation that began in 2012. They support various charities by raising funds from a variety of areas within the Superyacht industry.
Their first charity ball was held in 2015 and was so successful they decided to make it an annual event. The Superyacht Charities Ball was held in the Mike Channon Suite at Southampton Football Club. The event was fabulously supported by sponsors for different parts of the event. For example, reception drinks were sponsored by one partner, table wine sponsored by another and so on.
The Funky Photo Booth was sponsored by Van Berge Henegouwen based in The Netherlands. This is a company that specialises in integrating luxury technology onboard superyachts.
Event Photography
Alongside the photo booth, we also covered photography for the event. Solent Studios cover a number of events like this, shooting mainly in a documentary approach so that all aspects of the evening are covered. Pictures range from details shots of table décor, room shots, guests arriving, society style photos and lots of candid pictures of guests enjoying themselves.
When the formalities are finished
The Funky Photo Booth was set-up at the venue earlier in the day prior to any guests arriving. After the reception drinks, meal, auction and raffle the formalities were over. Guests then kicked off their shoes and put on a pair of sponsored flip flops. The dance floor filled and the photo booth was packed from then until the end of the night.
